ICCOC Student Surveys

The Iowa Consortium has three different types of student surveys that are used to help collect student demographics and student feedback. All surveys are completely confidential and anonymous. The consortium staff and instructors only see the compiled results created by the eCollege course management system.

ICCOC Student Demographic Survey

The Student Demographic survey allows the consortium staff and instructors to understand the overall background and experience level of our online students. This one time, twenty-four questioned survey is deployed to all online student the second week of the semester and is designed to take less then five minutes to complete.

ICCOC End of Course Survey

The End of Course survey helps the consortium and instructors continue to enhance services and courses. This survey is broken into two short surveys, which was a result of feedback received from online students in past semesters.

The first survey is a one time, general end of course survey, which focuses on the services provided to you during the semester. This thirteen questioned survey is deployed the second week of November for fall term, the second week of April for spring term, and the first week of July for summer term and is designed to take less then five minutes to complete.

The second survey is a individual end of course survey, which will be completed for each online course. This nine questioned survey is deployed the last week of November for fall term, the last week of April for spring term, and the third week July for summer term and is designed to take less then five minutes to complete.

ICCOC Withdrawal Survey

To help us make improvements in all aspects of online learning, we need to understand why students withdraw from our online courses. Therefore, students who withdraw from an online course receive an email with a link to complete our seven questioned withdrawal survey. Your feedback will help the consortium improve services and courses.
