How to Apply & Register
for Online Courses

The Iowa Community College Online Consortium offers Associate degrees online.  Our online courses can lead you to successful employment, serve as your start to a baccalaureate degree at a 4-year transfer institution, or provide a way to update your career skills.  To register for online course(s), please follow the steps outlined below.

Step One - Application Process:

Submit an application for admission at one of the seven colleges that is a part of the Iowa Community College Online Consortium.  You must have an application on file at your home college before you register for any online courses.

Click on your home college below for contacts and specific instructions on application process.

Step Two - Admissions Acceptance:

After submitting an application, you may have to wait a few days for your application materials to be reviewed and processed by your home college. They will notify you by e-mail, phone, or letter of your admissions status and the registration procedures.  If you have any questions about your application, contact your home college.

Note:  To register for courses through the Iowa Community College Online Consortium, you must be a current student at one of the seven colleges within the consortium.

Step Three - Registration:

You are now ready to register for your online course.  You must call the Academic Advisor at home college to register for your desired courses.  This advisor can also answer any questions you may have about what courses to take.  To view the courses being offered for the upcoming semester, see the ICCOC Course Catalog.  Please note that your college may not offer all courses listed in the ICCOC Course Catalog.  Your academic advisor will be able to explain which ones are offered through your college.

NOTE:   When registering for an ICCOC online course, not all sections of the course are open at once.  Therefore, you cannot choose which section you would like.  The next section of a course is opened once the previous section is full.  You can call your home college during the registration time frame to inquire if a particular section has opened.  If it is open, at that time you can request to be moved into that particular section.
